Shalom

Daniel got home from work at 6:30 and the two of us walked down the street to the falafal stand. For my last meal, Daniel bought each of us a falafal and a Fanta orange. I went next door and bought each of us a Magnum chocolate ice cream bar.

So, for my last meal in Israel I had three of my all-time favorite foods.

Now I wait until 2AM when the taxi will pick me up for the airport. I should arrive at the airport at 3AM and go through the 3 hour ordeal of checking out of the country for my flight to Vienna–Chicago–Knoxville.

Can’t wait…

Shalom, Jerusalem

Welcome home! I’ll tell you what, you go out to lunch with me one weekend, I’ll tell you about Elie Wiesel. 🙂 I haven’t seen you in forever!

    Dear Chris,

I am a long-time supporter of Elijah Company (when it was in existence). We talked once on the phone when I was ordering a language arts program for my kids. You told me I didn’t need a formal program for that age but I ignored your advice. But you know what? You were right! We ended up scrapping it and what a relief that was. We continued to incorporate your approach to education into our own and are grateful you chose to share your wisdom with others.

I have enjoyed reading about your experiences in Israel. I hope you continue to blog about your life, as you lead an interesting one.

Misty. I have not yet gotten back to Crossville for more than a day. When I get settled in, I’ll give you a call.

    Chris,
It is hard to believe that you have left Israel. We feel so fortunate that you were a guide for our Israel Experience. Your sunrise picture in Samaria is beautiful. We have some sunset pictures of our final night in Jaffa… it was a perfect finale to the trip.
Keep posting about what you are doing.
